THE AGENDA

The top end of the live music business may be in rude health but emerging and mid-level artists and their teams are grappling with challenges across the board.

While touring was once a reliable source of income for burgeoning acts, spiralling costs and dwindling fees are leaving the talent out of pocket. Meanwhile, rapidly changing audience trends and a saturation of talent means it’s harder than ever for artists to stand out online.

As the foundations for artist development evolve, how are artist teams getting creative with growing fanbases and establishing new revenue streams?

In this evening workshop, Futures Forum and Music Managers Forum (MMF) will bring together young managers and live executives to explore solutions to these issues and ensure the next-generation headliners rise to the top.
