Futures Workshops Announced

With our schedule complete and guest speakers lining up across the event, here’s a quick taster of the workshops happening this year.

The ticket of the future

From tour-busting mobile tickets to emerging technologies in touring and festival ticketing – Workshop: The ticket of the future sees ticketing experts Bonita Mckinney (Ticketmaster) and Lou Champion; head of ticketing for some of the UK’s biggest festivals, take an in-depth look into this fast moving and fascinating sector.

Getting smart about digital marketing

With elements of marketing being pushed into the digital era, Richard Samuel (Orchard Live) lifts the lid on how Wales’s biggest independent promoter maximises exposure of its events online in Workshop: Getting smart about digital marketing.

Assertiveness & effectiveness at work

With the music industry attracting some pretty strong characters, it can be hard to know when and how to best stand up for your idea, your act and even yourself. Prince Laryea (Shift Coaching) will cover the essentials for making your voice heard in the office, making the most of every opportunity in Workshop: Assertiveness & effectiveness at work.

Actioning change in live music

During MMF Workshop: Actioning change in live music, MMF General Manager, Jayne Stynes, and Adam Webb, manager of the FanFair Alliance campaign against exploitative online ticket touting, will host a discussion with ILMC and Future Forum delegates.

They will be joined by industry experts including Keychange Outreach Coordinator, Francine Gorman, Rich Legate from Attitude is Everything and Artist & Tour Manager Kirk Harrington.
